Gonzaga's Julian Strawther Hits Game-Winning Three
The UCLA Bruins' season came to an end on Thursday night in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, as they fell to the Gonzaga Bulldogs 79-76. The game was decided in the final seconds, when Gonzaga guard Julian Strawther hit a three-pointer to give the Bulldogs the win.
The Bruins had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer of their own, but Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s shot came up short. The loss ends UCLA's season at 24-9, while Gonzaga advances to the Elite Eight.
Strawther finished the game with 20 points, including 4-of-7 shooting from three-point range. Drew Timme added 19 points for Gonzaga, and Rasir Bolton chipped in with 15 points.
Amari Bailey led UCLA with 18 points, while Jaylen Clark added 17 points. Jaquez Jr. finished with 13 points, and Adem Bona had 10 points.
