What is Knut Storberget Kone?

Knut Storberget Kone is a Norwegian jurist and politician who served as Minister of Justice and Public Security from 2005 to 2011 and as Minister of Education and Research from 2011 to 2013. He is a member of the Labour Party and has been a member of the Norwegian Parliament since 1993. Knut Storberget was born in Lillehammer on 2 October 1964. He studied law at the University of Oslo and graduated in 1990. He then worked as a lawyer in Lillehammer before being elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1993. Knut Storberget served as Minister of Justice and Public Security from 2005 to 2011. During his time as Minister, he was responsible for implementing a number of reforms to the Norwegian justice system, including the introduction of a new penal code and the establishment of a new national police force. He also played a key role in the Norwegian government's response to the 2011 Norway attacks. Knut Storberget served as Minister of Education and Research from 2011 to 2013. During his time as Minister, he was responsible for implementing a number of reforms to the Norwegian education system, including the introduction of a new national curriculum and the establishment of a new national education directorate. He also played a key role in the Norwegian government's response to the 2012 Oslo bombing. Since leaving government, Knut Storberget has worked as a partner at the law firm Grette and as a lecturer at the University of Oslo. He is also a member of the board of directors of several companies, including the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet.
